Addictions & substance use
Look beyond the pattern.
Make room for change.
Questions about substance use can be complicated. There is room to explore them without reducing your story to a label.
What does change
mean to you?
You might be questioning your use, concerned about its impact, returning to a goal after a setback, or unsure whether you want to change at all.
The proposed AOC approach starts with understanding your experience, your priorities, and the support that fits your situation.
Questions worth exploring
- What do you turn to substances for, and what are the costs?
- When does use feel more difficult to manage?
- What would you want to be different in daily life?
- Which relationships and supports could help?
Finding appropriate care
Counselling is one possible part of a broader support plan. Medical assessment, withdrawal support, peer support, or other services may also be relevant. The right next step depends on your situation.
